Obituary

A Graveside Celebration for Mrs. Beverly Ann Ford-Guiste of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020 will be held Saturday, August 8th, 11:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Ave., Pastor Reginald T. Webb, officiating.

Beverly Ann Ford - Guiste, the daughter of the late Barbara Brooks Jones was born on September 23, 1949 in Enterprise, Alabama. Beverly Ann relocated to New York, then on to Tampa, FL with her mother. She attended school in Hillsborough County, Tampa, Florida. Beverly met Simon Guiste and was later united in holy matrimony on March 29, 2015. Beverly's passion was helping others and making them smile. She attended Nursing School and enjoyed a career in the field of nursing. Beverly Ann worked with various agencies. After thirty years, she finally retired from Life Path Hospice in Tampa, Florida. She continued to work for an additional five years with Assisting Hands of Tampa until her demise on July 24, 2020. Beverly loved her family, friends, cooking, providing wisdom to those in need of conversation, and serving as a praisewarrior for the Lord. She was a member of the Gospel Voice of Praise at New Bethel Progressive Baptist Church located in Tampa, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her relatives, Bessie Brooks, Oliver Brooks, Willie Mae Brooks, Elijah Brooks, Mary Edna Brooks-Joiner (Willie), James Arthur Jones, and Barbara Brooks-Jones.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories; her loving husband, Simon Guiste; children, Nardine Guiste, Franklyn Guiste (Olga), Clarissa Guiste, Jessica Guiste and Glenworth Owen Guiste; grandchildren, Zane Guiste, Mya Clarke, Katoure McMillian, Arianna Guiste, Sera Guiste, Sonia Guiste, Andre Guiste and Kaliyah Guiste; great-grandchildren, Kamron Guiste-Wilson and Marlee Guiste-Wilson; father, Jesse Jones, Jr.; brothers, Jessie Jones, III and Ricky Denard Jones, Sr. (Angela); sister, Juanita Jones Archer; nieces, Rickelle Jones, Aryah Jones and Jamie Jones; nephews, Ricky Denard Jones, Jr., Ricky Denard Jones III, T. Oliver Lewis, and Elijah Tillis; cousins, Oscar Brooks (Mary)Alma Sue Brooks, Donna Tucker (Pete), Sylvia Jackson, Melissa Clemons, Cierra Clemons, Kierra Clemons, Camille Clemons, LaShonda Tucker, ShaRonda Llenarez (John)and Willie F. Brooks Jr.; uncle, Willie F. Brooks, Sr. (Sallie); other relatives and friends, Sylvia Adama, Yolene Lubin, Barbara Baker, Ernest McMicheal,Robyn Starks,Arriana McMichael, Tabatha Vickers (Jamal), Valerie Hill-Bethel (Corey), Tangela Miller (Ernie), Joeann Vickers (James Earl), Thelma Watkins (Robert) Alice O'Neal, James Strothers, Otto Miller Sr, Eloise Tinsley, Yvonne Lynch, Gwendolyn Arnold, Minnie Thomas,Shelia Soarrey (Greg), Karen Anderson, Harold Ellis, Armegene Moore, Bernadine Guiste, Cora Yopp, and Louise Jones and family; special thanks to Pastor Reginald T. Webb and First Lady Deborah Webb, and our church Family.

A private family visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, August 7th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the graveside on Saturday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.
