A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Beverly Ann Griffin of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, will be held Friday, October 22nd, 12:00 p.m. at Revealing Truth Ministries, 5201 N. Armenia Ave.
Beverly was born in Manhattan, New York in Harlem to Emily & Frank Gadsden Sr. She is the fourth child born out of five to this union. She is preceded in death by both her parents, her brother Frank Gadsden Jr., brother-in-law Melvin Robinson, sisters Adele Robinson, & Paulette Washington, & nephew Marvin Robinson. Beverly attended public school in New York, went to Bronx Community College and received an AS Degree becoming a RN. Later in life she received a BS Degree in Psychiatric Nursing from Southern Univ. She was a RN, C for 47 years. After retiring she worked part-time for Hospice & a Faith Comm Nurse for the Nursing Home Ministries with her church Revealing Truth Ministries. Beverly moved to Tampa with her daughter, Linesha where shes worked at many of the area Hospitals and Mental Health facilities. Beverly had two more children Candace and Isaac and decided to make the Tampa Bay area her permanent home supporting the local sport teams. Beverly has several grandchildren that she refers to as "The Grands" and she has 1 greatgrandchild and another on the way. She was loved by all family and friends and will be missed by all. Beverly is survived by her children, Linesha, Lonnie Jr., Candace and Isaac; "The Grands" Carlo, Kyra, Mya, Monte, Shanice and Cairo; greatgrandchildren, JoKari and Aura; brother, Raymond and Willene Gadsden; sister, Rachel Gadsden; cousins, Cecil Wilson and Ronald Wilson; nephews and nieces, Leon, Anita, Adina, Tracey, Chris, Curtis, Felecia, Eboney, Dana, Michael, Reginald, Felicia and Hennis, Frank III, Shenell, Johnathan, Raquel and Nikki; a host of grand nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Thursday, October 21nd from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends during the visitation. We are following the CDC guidelines.
