Billy A. Christmas entered this life on May 1, 1947, to the parentage of George and Evangelist Willie Maude Smith, in Headland, Alabama. Billy was well known and loved by many throughout the Tampa Bay Area. He retired from the United States Army/National Guard, the City of Tampa Sanitation, and the Tampa Tribune. He was a football coach for the Tampa Eagles little league football team, as well as the Youth Football Conference.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Evangelist, Willie Maude Smith; father, George Christmas; brothers, Milton L. Smith, and Louis E. Smith.; sisters, Odessa "DeeDee" Christmas, and Carolyn D. Smith, Nathan Singletary Jr. "Chico"

He leaves to cherish his memories of a loving devoted wife and caregiver, Jewell.; loving daughter, caregiver, and driver Nadine Singletary, Geraldine Christmas; daughter-in-law, Angela Singletary; son, Tommy Waiters; sister, Nazaline Smith.; devoted god brother/best friend, caregiver, and driver; Charles Johnson; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; aunt, Bessie Baxter (Herman); uncle, Royal L. Holley; best friend/cousin, Richard Callins; devoted cousin Yvonne Newson sisters-in-law, Rosa Dorn (caregiver), Inester Davis (Otis); Yvonne Newson and a host of loving cousins.
