Lee 'Butch' Sharpe, Jr.
February 3, 1947 – November 12, 2020
A Homegoing Celebration for Bishop Sampson Lee Sharpe, Jr. 'Butch' of Brooksville, Florida who passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 will be held on Monday, November 23rd, 10:00 a.m.., at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Tampa, Florida Rev.Matthew Redmon, officiating. The interment will held in Florida National Cemetery.
Sampson Sharpe was born on February 3, 1947 in Orlando, Florida to the late Sampson Sharpe and Juretha Thomas. Sampson was a dedicated member of Bridging the Breach Ministries and Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Sampson loved to go fishing and cooking. Sampson also played the drums for his church, Bridging the Breach, where he was the Bishop. He enjoyed watching the travel channel and ESPN.
Sampson Sharpe was preceded in death by his parents and stepdaughter, Felicia McCray.
He leaves to cherish precious memories with his wife, Altrina Sharpe; children, Anthony Davis, Sielecas Sharpe, and Lynette Fullwood; stepchildren, Leticia Tucker, LJ Tucker, Mae Engram, and Matthew Rowells; sister, Gloria Sharpe Smith; and a host of other loving family and friends.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Monday November 23rd at 9:00 a.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home on Monday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.
