Homegoing services for Mrs. Blondell S. Mitchell of 1705 Julian Lane Drive, who passed away on Sunday, June 20th will be held on Saturday, June 26th at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 North 29th Street with Rev. Dr. Evan Burrows, Pastor officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Mitchell was born May 5, 1948 in Waycross, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Coley Thomas and Marvin Thomas; sisters, Ruby Jean Richardson, Betty McRae and Orange Nella Brown; father-in-law, David Mitchell, Sr.; brother-in-law, David Mitchell, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Emma Mitchell Drew. Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her devoted husband, Anthony Mitchell; children, Aniteress Marie Bridges (Mark), Willie Lenard Smith, David Lee English (Deborah); grandchildren, Selethia Smith and Destry Fudge, Jr.; great grandchildren, Sonayas Smith, Saudti Roberson and Sahiia Roberson; parents, Robert Lee Collins and Madie Brantley; brother, Clyde Thomas; sister, Lula Johnson; aunts, Willie Mae Brantley, Inell Lawson and Emmie Castillo; uncle, Larry Grace (Mary); nieces, Lynda Tootle, Yolanda Alamalin, Vanessa Johnson (Rodrick), Sheila Brown and Asleign Birron; nephews, Kendrick Brown, Lamar Mitchell, Ottis Gainer (Beverly), Christopher Mitchell, Rufus Collins, Bennie McRae, Jr., (Martha), Leon Thomas and Larry Thomas; cousins, James Brantley and John Brantley; mother-in-law, Doreatha Mitchell Grace (Earl); brothers-in-law, James McDowell (Judy), Gregory McDowell (Louise), Reginald Houston (Adrianne), Earl Grace (Wanda), Siegfried Grace (Barbara) and Demetrius Hamilton; sisters-in-law, Mechell Mitchell (Spencer), Cynthia Wright (Martinez), Candis Williams (James), Regina Bowers (Herbert), Pamela Grace, Tammy Mitchell and Patrice Grace (Ulysses); godmother, Pauline Mansell; cousins, Larry Watkins, Robert Watkins (Thelma) and Amelia Hicks; special friends, Mary Watson, Edna Hardy, Paul Hacken, Rick and Daina Cook, Beatrice Lawson and Rosita Gursham; and a host of other relatives and friends. The remains will repose at Aikens Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 25th. The family and friends are asked to assemble at the church by 1:45 p.m. Saturday.
