Homegoing services for Mr. Bob Wilson Sledge of 4828 Allen Way, #265, Tampa, who passed away, Thursday, September 20, 2010, will be held Saturday, September 25th, 11:00 a.m., Word of His Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 2506 S. Parsons, Seffner, Pastor Thomas Phillips, officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. The Father called upon his great son to join him at the hem of his garment. Bob Sledge was born on January 7, 1935 and was greatly loved and appreciated. He enjoyed fishing, baseball, gardening and flowers. He was preceded in death by his father, William Thomas Sledge; sons Christopher F. Hendley, Timothesis Sledge; aunts, Ada, Sarah Scott, and Leugenia Holloway. He is survived by his loving wife, Waterloo Sledge; mother, Emma Lee Gipson; sons and daughters, Lionel Sledge (Elaine), Michelle Sledge-Anderson (Bobby), Darrel Sledge (Shonda), Bernard L. Hendley (Rita), Linda M. Dorsey (Johnnie Jr.), Lamont A. Hendley, Willie Mcmillan, Derrick R. Hendley (Patricia), Sherry, Michael and Jackie; grandchildren, Darrius D. Hendley Sr.,Angela Oyola, Kasia K. Hendley, Orond'e Butts, Joshua J. Hendley, Makayla Sledge, Angelina McNeil, Nicholas Glover, Alan McNeil, Warren Ellis, III, Brandon Ellis, Briana Ellis, and Marcus Ellis; great grandchildren, Darrius Hendley, Jr., Darrius Enyi Hendley, Layla D. Hendley, Skyla Dixon, Tavek Winters, Cidney Winters; sisters, Linda Clark, Emma Lou Gentry and Dorothy Barnett (Herman), nephews; Evon Sams, Roy Purifoy, Jr., Michael Gary; special cousin, Gladys Mackey; best friends, Mike West, Hermon Sharpe, Mark Libby and Kenny Parson; and a host of family and friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, September 24th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church at 10:45 a.m. for the service Saturday.
