Bobby Melton was born to the late Horace and Theola Melton of Monroe, Louisiana. He was one of three children. As he grew up, he was able to attend the school of St. Peter Chanel Interparochial. His childhood years were filled with many happy and joyous occasions. As he finished his school year, he decided to serve our country. On April 21, 1982, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. There, he served for 9 glorious years. He was able to travel all over the world and experience many wonderful things. After he was honorably discharged from the service on October 22, 1991. He moved to Tampa and worked as an anesthesiologist and finally worked at Optum Rx before his passing. After some time, he was graced with meeting his future wife, Kay Mercer (Marie). Together they had a child named Kyle Melton. They enjoyed 30 blissful years together before his unfortunate passing in December 2021. Some of his hobbies and interests included playing dominoes, being on his computer, grilling, Marvel movies, LSU football, and Saints football. Bobby was preceded in death by parents, Horace and Theola Melton; He leaves to cherish his memory wife, Kaye Melton; children, Kyle Melton and Alicia Melton; brother, Jesse Griggs; nieces, Lori Hall and Kyryah Hall; nephews, Larry Hall, Joshua Hall, and Nicholas Hall; sisters-in-law, Angela Watts and Lena Mercer; and friends George and Yvonne Ramos, Tony and Marsha Akers, Craig and Lyn Hall, Horace Bacon and Harriet Curry, Scott and Lois Hunter, and Evans and Allison Bretts.

A Legend was Born, by Kaye Melton

A legend was born, on June 1957. As he sojourned along lifes road, he had many task to complete . As he tried to complete each task, he came across some obstacles but he never gave up. As he completed each task God checked them off. And as he came to the end God saw fit to take him home for his task was completed.
