The funeral service for Mrs. BrendaGrant will be heldon Saturday, March 13, 2021 at10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hope, Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.Pastor K. L Muldrow, of the General Assembly Church of the First Born, Inc., officiating. Interment will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.

Brenda Elaine Grant wasborn to the late Clarence Baity, Sr. and Mosley Clark on July 1, 1948 in Tampa, Florida. She transitioned to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, March 2, 2021, while surrounded by loved ones. Brenda was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and later worked in the hospitality industry for many years. As a child,Brendawas a baptized at the First Baptist Church of College Hill and later became a member of the General Assembly Church of the First Born. She loved her family dearly and was respected as the family peacemaker. Brendawas preceded in death by her parents; husband, LawrenceGrant; brother, Clarence Baity, Jr.; and sisters, Ann Martin, and Clarice Green.

Brendaleaves to cherish her memory an only son, Rodrick Southers; daughters, Monique Baity, April Green-Damen (Torrey Damen, Sr.) and KailaiaGrant; five grandchildren Tylaia Damen, Aniya Campbell, Kamar Ashley, Torrick Damen, and Torrence Damen; sisters, Janice Clark and Gailer Baity; and special friend, Elder Glen Smith along with a host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins, family members and friends.

The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, March 12th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. We are following the CDC guidelines.
