A Homegoing Service for Mr. Brian Di' Jon Boyd on Monday, June 21, 2021, Brian transitioned from this earthly life. His service will be held on Saturday, July 03, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. Brian Di 'Jon Boyd was born in Tampa, Florida December 21, 1989. He was the son of Darlene Callender and David M. Boyd Sr. He attended Wharton High School in Tampa and graduated from NW High School in Clarksville, TN where he played football and was a member of the JROTC. Brian enjoyed baseball, bowling, and cooking, but his passion was writing poems and music. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends but cherished the moments he spent with his sister Ashley; nephew, Tre; grandparents, Frank and Maggie Chester and granddaddy, Boo Herman and grandma, Gloria. As a teen Brian was very resourceful by starting his own lawn service in New Tampa to purchase his school clothes. He was preceded in death by his father David Boyd Sr., great uncle, Charles Robinson, and great aunt, Glorious Harvey. He will be forever loved and deeply missed by his loving mother Darlene Callender; sister, Ashley Boyd; grandparents, Magalene (Frank) Chester, Herman (Gloria) Callender II; nephew, Davell Coleman III; aunts, Angelita Anderson, Michelle (Danny) Biglow, Khenita (Anthony) Battle, Tujuana (Reggie) Sykes; great aunt, Doris Robinson; uncles, Herman Callender III, Leonard Anderson; cousins, Leonard C. Anderson, Tiffany (Michael) Leitner, Thalia Shepard, Daniel Biglow, Noah Biglow, Jessica Barbary, Jasmine Barbary, Jamie Barbary, James Barbary, Alexis Sykes, Reginald Sykes Jr., Jahvis Sykes, Jhayda Sykes, Lisa Harvey, Cory Harvey; cousin and best friend Alex Wilcox and Bobby Brown Sr., and a host of many loving and sorrowing relatives and friends. The visitation will be held on Friday, July 2nd from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday, for the service.
