Obituary

Bridget Lynne Givens, a beacon of joy and laughter, has taken her final bow on the great stage of life on October 16, 2024. Born on February 5, 1956, in the bustling city of Washington D.C., Bridget's zest for life was as grand as the capital itself. She danced through the curtains of life and exited gracefully in Tampa, FL, leaving behind a legacy of giggles and cherished memories. Bridget was the life of every party and the heart of her family.

She is survived by her loving children, Scotland Givens IV, Joseph Givens Sr, and Machelle Mullins. Her grandchildren, Hezekiah Todd-Givens, Milani Givens, Joseph Givens Jr, Jovanni Givens, and Ezra Broner were the apples of her eye and the ultimate audience for her impromptu backyard performances. She taught them the importance of laughter, the power of a well-timed joke, and that a day without giggles is a day wasted.

As a woman who loved the great outdoors, Bridget could often be found basking in the sun, with the wind in her hair, and a mischievous twinkle in her eye. She believed that a good dose of fresh air could cure just about any ailment. As the final curtain closes on Bridget Lynne Givens' extraordinary performance in life, we celebrate the joy she brought into our world. She may have exited stage left, but her laughter echoes in our hearts forever. Curtain call, Bridget, and take a bow. You've earned a standing ovation.
