A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Brownie Mae Herbin of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 will be held on Saturday, February 29th, 11:00 a.m. at Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church, 1225 N. Nebraska Ave., Dr. B.R. Fulton, Jr., pastor, officiating. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Brownie Mae Herbin was born April 25, 1921 in Donalsonville, Georgia to the late Boston and Hattie White. She was an active member of Greater Mount Moriah P.B. Church for over 60 years. She was known as the 'Cake Lady' around Tampa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Willie Herbin and her only child, Mr. Clarence W. 'School Boy' White. Throughout her life, Brownie Mae gave of herself to her family, friends and community. Brownie Mae leaves to cherish her memory and rejoice in her wonderful life (6) devoted grandchildren, Cornelius Coachman (Gloria), Debra Carroll, Reginald White, Gilbert White (Jennifer), Carla White Sunday (Tyvan) and Corey White; daughter-in-law, Barbara D. White; (15) great-grandchildren, LaKeisha, Amy and Cornelius Coachman, Jr., Shantil, Reginald and Clarence White, Jennalyn, Danilo (DJ), Donovan, Alexandria 'Ally' White, Tyzsa Chatman (Joey) and Tyvan Sunday, Jr. (5) great-greatgrandchildren; nieces, Margaret White, Harriet Fennell (Larry), Marion Hunter (Cal), Gloria Hunter (Earl) and Mary Moore; nephews, William Freeman (Mary), Willie Fred Freeman (Yvonne), Raymond Freeman (Linda) and Willie Daniel White; (2) god-daughters, Sally Holt Smith and Sandra Davis; a host of grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, February 28th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
