Cameron was born on August 12, 1946, in Saint Michael, Barbados, to Dennis W. Jones and Olga Trotman. He loved cooking, fishing, volunteering, music, and dogs. He was also a Baptist minister and a Prince Hall, mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis W. Jones and Olga Trotman; and nephews, Michael and Lenarder Jones.

He leaves precious memories with his children, Janice Small, Trevor Best, Aaron Jones, Antwon Jones, and Annescia Jones; grandchildren, Jabari Best, Malik Best, Sanaa Best, Sikia Best, Jackson Jones, and Sophia Jones; brothers, Wayne Jones (Ruby), Ronald Jones (Pauline), Trevor Burke, and Kenneth Jones (Debra); sisters, Jackie and Jewel Jones; nephews, Maranie Taitt, Thahaddra Jones, Rohan Clarke, Kenneth Jones, Kelvin Jones, and Stephen Jones; nieces, Maria Clarke, Tanya Goddard, Kathyann Jones, Chantal Ward, Patrice Ward, Michelle Hinkson, Pamela Jones, Sharon Alleyne, and Kenisha Jones; cousins, Anthony White, Carol Hope Grant, Pat Hope, and Janice Hope; and a host of other relatives and friends.
