Obituary

Captain Ines Iverson Moore, Age 83 of Mangrove Bight, Guanaja, Bay Islands of Honduras, Central America, passed away on Wednesday, April 30th, 2025, at Tampa General Hospital, due to complications of heart disease. Born on November 4, 1941, to Eddie and Olive Moore, Capt. Moore, affectionately known as Seco, was known for having a kind heart, infectious humor, and generous spirit that touched the lives of all who knew him. His passion for fishing and love for music were well-known to his friends and family, and these interests provided a source of joy and comfort throughout his life. Seco's laughter and good nature were a beacon of light, and his humbleness was a source of warmth to those around him.

Seco was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Olive Moore, his wife, Suyapa Moore, his adopted daughter Jessica Moore, and his beloved grandson Devin Iverson Moore. He is survived by his sons, Dyke (Tammy) Moore, Eddie Moore, Misael (Vanessa) Moore, adopted son, Olvin Moore, his daughter, Melisa DeMacedo; brother, Bookie Moore; and former wife Donna Hunter. He is further survived by Lorena Smith-Hernandez-his loyal caregiver; and his loving grandchildren: Bryan Moore, Lester Moore, Ashley Moore, Eunice Moore, Iverson Moore, Andrea Espinoza and Juan Espinosa. His life was further enriched by a host of loving nieces, grandnieces, nephews and grandnephews, as well as his special friends and extended family members that will miss him dearly.

Seco's character was defined by his kindness, which was evident in every interaction, whether with family, friends or strangers. His humor and humble nature brought laughter to even the most mundane moments and his generosity knew no bounds. Seco was the kind of person who would give without expecting anything in return and his memory will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to experience his magnanimity.

As we bid farewell to our beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, we remember a life lived with passion and purpose. We take solace in the knowledge that his values and love have left an indelible mark on those of us that were fortunate to have known him. Seco's journey was one of loyalty, joy of life and an unrelenting commitment to the well-being of others.

His story is not one of sorrow, but rather a celebration of a life that exemplified the very best of the human spirit. As we reflect on Seco's life, we are reminded of the preciousness of each day and the importance of living with kindness, laughter and generosity. His spirit lives in the heart of those he loved and in the many lives he touched. In Seco's memory, let us each find ways to spread joy and compassion in our own lives, as he so effortlessly did in his. Though he may have left this world, the essence of who he was, a kind, funny and humble man – will forever remain with us, Rest in Peace my dear Seco; your legacy will continue to inspire us all.
