Homegoing Services for Mr. Carl Stafford of Tampa who passed away on February 3, 2016, will be held on Saturday, February 13th at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th Street, Rev. Dr. S. Evan Burrows, pastor officiating. The interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. Carl Thomas Stafford, was born on April 20, 1954 in Groveland, Florida to the late Green Stafford and Ruby Stafford. Carl was one of ten siblings and was preceded in death by his four sisters, Constance, Carolyn, Janice and Eartha Stafford; one brother, Ralph Stafford and step-son, Arnold L. Edwards. Upon graduating from Groveland High School he entered the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a supervisor at Manna Pro Corp, where he worked for 22 years. Carl was a member of First Baptist Church of College Hill Church. He leaves to cherish his memories with his loving and devoted wife, Thelma B. Stafford; a loving mother, Ruby Stafford; son Travis Farrow; step-son, Willie Edwards III (Crystal); brothers, Calvin Stafford, Richard Stafford and Curtis Stafford (Nora); sister, Gloria Stafford; 3 aunts, Clara Evans, Ollie Mae Miller and Dorothy Evans; sisters-in-law, Betty Glenn, Eartha C. Thomas (Dennis), Patricia D. Johnson (Arthur), Sharon J. Canty (Lenzo) and Edwina Fields; brothers-in-law, Arnold Fields (Hazel) and Robert Fields; special friends, Jeffery Maxwell, Lonnie Hodges, Stanley (Juke) Young and Bernie (Bernard) Penny. He was a proud grandfather of 3 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 6 great granddaughters; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 12th and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service. The family request that friends join them for a repast immediately following the service at the church.
