Mr. Carnell Buie III "Clean", was born on February 20, 1962, in Tampa, Florida. He was educated in the Hillsborough County Public School system. Carnell was a dedicated and hardworking man. He was employed with ILA Local 1402 and was a committed member of the International Longshoremen's Association. He was also a proud member of the International Free and Accepted Modern Masons Inc. and the Order of Eastern Star. A man of many talents, Carnell excelled in numerous areas. He won first place for a wire sculpture, demonstrating his creativity and artistic ability. He earned a black belt in Shotokan Karate and claimed first place in a weightlifting competition, reflecting his discipline and physical strength. Truly a jack of all trades, Carnell was a skilled carpenter and mechanic, a talented seamstress, and an expert bargain shopper. Carnell also loved listening to music. He was passionate, creative, loving, and dependable; always ready to lend a hand or share his knowledge. He was a loving and dedicated father, grandfather and great-grandfather who was loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Crawley; grandchildren, Randolph Haynes and Jordan Hargrove; brothers, Clarence Crawley, Fredrick Buie, Darryl Crawley, Carnell Buie, Jr., Edward Crawley and Alfonso Crawley; sisters, Brenda Hamilton and Rose Randall; as well as, nephews, Brian Thomas and Kevin Allen.
He leaves cherished memories to his life-long partner, Michele Haynes; father, Carnell Buie, Sr. (Floretha) sons, Christopher Blaine (Tanisha), Carnell Haynes (Latoria), Darius Haynes (Rashada), Antonio Ramsey and Antwan Ramsey; daugthers, Tamara Buie (Reggie), Brandi Scrivens (Ellis), Starr Buie (Trent), Candice Martin (Samuel), Shaleah Lewis (Jamal), Ebony Haynes and Shenequa Haynes; a host of granchildren, great-grandchildren; brothers, Min. Robert Crawley (Rose), Weldon Buie, Kenneth Buie (Sabrina), Ronald Buie (Tasha) and Donald Buie (Minnie); sisters, Sylvia Thomas, Janice Woodall (Melvin), Linda Buie, Fannie Buie, Wanday Buie, Linda Leaks and Latonja Bravo; along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special thank you to Scott, Skip, Standberry, McFadden, Ward, Crawford, Hawkins, Williams, Folks and Anderson familes.
He lived by the quote, "If you don't have a way to the interview, how you go get to the job?"—a testament to his belief in preparation, responsibility, and determination.
