Carol was born on July 30, 1947, in Jacksonville, FL., to James Shannon and Pearlie Mae Lee. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Gwendolyn Rich; and brother, Sydney McCoy. She leaves precious memories with her husband, Deacon LaRue Dorsey; children, Zenovia Caines (Dexter), Kenneth Johnson, and LaRue Dorsey; grandchildren, Eugene Eubanks, Dequon Barber, Jendayi Dorsey, and Jamarion Johnson; sisters, Mascelia Blissitt (Carl), Daisy Weeks, and Tonya Connors (Rick); aunts, Rosia Hamilton and Margreet Jackson; nieces, Lisa (Nathaniel), Tomeka, and Lakisha; nephews, Jimmy, Terrance, Charles, Darryl, and Marvin.
