Obituary

A homegoing celebration for Ms. Carolyn Eliza Flowers of Tampa who passed away, Monday, October 16, 2017, will be held on Saturday, October 21st, 1:00 p.m. at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 3325 E. Emma Street, Rev. Ronnie Murray, pastor officiating. The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery, 4900 E. Chelsea Street. Carolyn Eliza Flowers was born February 20, 1963 in Carrabelle, Florida to the late Willie Boone and Lucille Flowers (Jimmy). She attended the schools of Hillsborough County graduating from Hillsborough High School, class of 81' and Erwin Technical School. She always worked and had been employed by Times Customer Service, Casper's Company and the State of Florida, Department of Transportation. She was a member of Greater Friendship M.B. Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and special friends, Vivian Smith and Alice Hicks. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her children, Carlos A. Boyer, Calvin J. Boyer, loving and supportive daughter, Christal E. Boyer and Christopher M. Flowers; grandchildren, Destiny, A'Niyah, Jordan, Zarina, Carlos, Jr., Jeremiah, Justice, Serenity and Shawn; siblings, Donnie Flowers, Curtis Flowers (Debbie), Gwendolyn Flowers, Micheal Flowers (Leslie), Michelle Flowers, Leon Boone and Idella Thomas; loving and supportive companion, William 'Bill' Lloyd; aunts, Patricia Harris, Willie Mae Donaldson; nieces and nephews, Debra Wilson, Terrance Hester, Shannon, Karrissa, Delena, Jada; the Morris family; extended family; and a host of other family members; dear friends, Carolyn Simmons and family, Mike Saling and family, Alene Harris, Mitchell Brown, the Thomas family, co-workers of Department of Transportation, Gilbert, Bowers, DuPree and Boyer families, all who will dearly miss her. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, October 20th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
