Homegoing service for Mrs. Carolyn Faye Robinson "NaNa", who departed this life on Sunday, March 1st 2015 at 1:51 am at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa FL, will be held on Saturday, March 7th, 2:00 p.m. at Bible Base of Temple Terrace, 8718 N. 46th Street, Elder Earl Mason, pastor with Rev. Patricia Houser, officiating. Carolyn Faye Robinson was born in Mobile, Alabama on Dec 7, 1951. She was the only child of the late Willie "Linda" Thomas and the late Ret. Sgt. Roy A. Thomas. She received her education in Mobile, Alabama and traveled the world with her parents in the Air force. She spent many years as a licensed cosmetologist working in different salons in the Tampa area as well as opening her own salon in West Tampa "Two Sisters Beauty Salon". She changed careers and was later employed by Hillsborough Co. Aging Services, until she became ill and she ultimately retired. She was known by almost everyone as "NaNa".She was preceded in death by her loving parents; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Leonard and Jeanette Evans and her beautiful granddaughter, Sequoia Belton. She is survived by a devoted companion, Donald Mason, Sr.; 3 loving daughters, Min. Markitia Robinson, Kewanna (Michael) Moore and KaDesha (Jasmine) Mason; 7 beautiful grandchildren, L. DiMarkus Haggins, Ayana Belton, JaMario Belton, Michael Boone III, Mikese Boone, MyKejah Boone and Zariah Allen; 4step-children, Tonia Williams, Cindy Mason, Carmalita Mason, Donald "Jay"Mason Jr.; 15 step-grandchildren, and 1 step-great-grandson; several nieces, nephews and cousins some of which were devoted Marinda Robinson, Julius Robinson, Louisiana "BayBay" Williams, Christopher Welcome, Willie Albert "Buba "Moore III, Quentin Moore, Clint Moore, Lynette Moore, Tony Banks and Crystal Mason; 2 godbrothers, Alvin "Hamp" Hamptom and Jheri (Davina) Daniels; 1 godsister, Rose Mary; 10 godchildren, Angela, Neisha, Meka, Shay, E'Nesha, Nya, Torry, Leslie, Starr and Dale; many loving friends with some being very close Elizabeth Belton, Fredericka Alexander, Doris Devard, Lois Hill, Tracey, Linda Brantley, Martha Brim, Mattie Smith, Diane Jolly and VernitaWoods; neighbors; Sonia"Ms. Mickey" Huggins, Ms .Kim and LuLu; and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, March 6th, from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
