October 14, 1941 – May 15, 2026
Mrs. Carolyn Patricia Steverson, affectionately known to family and friends as "Baby Sister," was born on October 14, 1941, in Tampa, Florida, to Howard Williams, Sr., and Jessie Mae Walker. Carolyn graduated from Middleton High School, class of 1960. She was a woman of vision, determination, and compassion, best known as the owner and director of Fat Albert Day Care, which she faithfully operated for 52 years in Tampa. She taught, guided, and cared for hundreds of children throughout the Woodland Terrace and River Grove communities. She was also known for preparing Thanksgiving dinner each year for her beloved "babies" at Fat Albert Day Care, ensuring they felt the warmth of love and family. Carolyn delighted in decorating for the holidays, transforming ordinary spaces into festive celebrations, and she never passed up an opportunity to find a great bargain while shopping. Those who knew Carolyn will remember her as a woman who was generous, loving, thoughtful, and feisty.
