Obituary

Carrie was born on August 22, 1932, in Stewart County, Georgia to JD and Bennie Jennings (Hardwick). Carrie's life was a testament to her kindness and unwavering spirit. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend whose gentle presence touched the lives of all who knew her. Carrie's roots in the community ran deep, and the values instilled in her during those formative years remained a cornerstone of her character throughout her life. After moving to Tampa, Florida, Carrie devoted herself to a career as a nurse aide at Tampa General Hospital. Her dedication to caring for others was evident in every patient she tended to, bringing comfort and compassion to their lives. Her work was not just a job but a calling, and the impact she made on the lives of countless individuals will not be forgotten. Outside of her professional life, Carrie was an active member of her church and served with grace on the purple Lilly Usher board. Her faith was a guiding force, and she shared it generously, becoming a pillar in her religious community. Carrie's love for the outdoors was also apparent in her fondness for fishing, a pastime that brought her peace and joy. Family was the heart of Carrie's world. Carrie was preceded in death by her father, JD Jennings; mother, Bennie Jennings (Hardwick); brothers, Felton and John Jennings.

She is survived by her loving sons, Sterling Terrell and Benjamin Graham; grandchildren, Tammie Terrell Simmons, Benjamin Graham II, Brian Graham (Stacy), Brandi Handres (Richard), Lawrence Terrell, and Michael Penix; great-grandchildren, Jazlyn Perez, Maya Graham, and Sarah and Sion Simmons, and Lawrence Terrell; nephews, Felton Jennings, Jr., Milton Jennings, Ron Williams (Barbara); nieces, Gwen Noble, Shirley Weaver (Lennon), Alberta Johnson, Delanie Gardner;cousins, Bernice Hardwick, Lucille Hardwick, Aelisha Gould "Peaches," along with a host of other relatives, friends, and church members.
