Homegoing services for Mr. Carter Eugene Reed, Sr. of 717 W. Virginia Avenue, who passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, will be held on Saturday, January 30th, 11:00 a.m., 29th Street Church of Christ, 3310 N. 29th Street, Brother Johnson, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Cemetery. Carter was born October 19, 1956 in Tampa. He served in the United States Army for a number of years, and was a dedicated supervisor at Americold Logistics until his illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louise Reed and Cleveland Diggs, and his brother Michael Reed. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Vernon Reed; son, Carter Eugene Reed, Jr.; and stepdaughter, Erika Carter (William). A very devoted uncle and father figure, Donnie Paul Hicks (Eugenia).
