Homegoing celebration for Mrs. Catherine Bobo Murphy who passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 will be held Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., at Hope of Shiloh Community Church, 3910 E. Conover Street, Elder R. E. Benn, Sr., Pastor Eulogist with and Pastor Steve Austin of Christ Favour Ministries officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Catherine Bobo Murphy was born July 27, 1948 to the late Leonard Bobo and Emma Lee Ellis in Sledge, Mississippi. She was a member of the Christ Favor Ministries for over 20 years under Pastor Steve Austin. Catherine enjoyed going to church, cooking and caring for her children and family. She was preceded in death by brothers, Joshuwey Bobo, Clinton Bobo, Sr. and LeAndrew Bobo. She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories with her parents, husband, Clinton Murphy; children, Emma Jean Baxter, Sandra Tisdale, Paulette Staten-Bobo and Steve Holder; grandchildren, Demonterio Marcus-Tisdale, Kevana, Kevin, Keyera, Keith and LaKesha Chaptman, Pearl and Velissia Baxter, Ulysee Lee, Robert Bobo, Alexis, Sharmietra and Antonio Staten, Sierra, Stevanna and Jaekeria Holder, Ricky, Derrick, Dontavion and Asheanna King; great grandchildren, Jazaria Hand, Artavia Crawford, Keith Chaptman III, Rudolph Ingram, Deyjah Marcus, Hazel Hayward, Zeanna Stroud, Jaden Holder, and Hanna Holder; brothers, Johnny Bobo (Mary), Karyim Al-Husaan (Zakiyah), John Earl Bobo, Ronald Lockett (Kimberly) and Jimmy McCoy; sister, Ernestine Ellis-Stone (Jerald, Sr.); nieces, Le'Tanya Stone, Te'A Stone and Majida Al-Husaam; nephews, Andrew Lockett, Jerald Stone, Jr., Curtis Stone and Adam Al-Husaan; trustworthy friend, Marjorie Speermon; godsisters, Johnnie Mae Barlow, Sandra Miles, Dale Holder and Wanda Faye Strong; and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, October 4th, from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
