Homegoing service for Mrs. Catherine Holloway of Tampa, who passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012, will be held on Saturday, May 5th, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, with Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Catherine was born on May 7, 1927 in Prentiss, Mississippi. She was baptized at Prentiss Baptist Church in Mississippi. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing and singing gospel spirituals. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Holloway, son, James Edward Hall and granddaughter, Cathy Bodison. She leaves to cherish her memories with children, Catherine Holloway Stout and Louis Holloway, Sr.; grandchildren, James Lang, Sr., Louis Holloway, Jr., Eric Holloway, Earl Johnson II and Patrick Holloway; great grandchildren, James Lang, Anthony Holloway, Marcus Holloway, Savannah Holloway, Erin, Holloway, Eric Holloway and DeJuan C. Holloway; brothers, Joe Hall, Ledrew Butler, Jr. and Prince Butler; sister, Virginia Lee Polk; niece, Essie Dawson and family; nephews, James Bullock and family, Oscar Norwood and family and Clifford Trussell and family; family friends, Maunice Green, John Blue, Walter Thompson, Brandon Anderson, Roger Williams and family friend and caregiver, Annette Vickers; and a host of other relatives and special friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, May 4th, from 5-8 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the Chapel on Saturday for the service.
