Obituary

Homegoing celebration for Mrs. Catherine Louise Holloway Stout who passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013 will be held Saturday December 7th at 2:00 p.m., 34th Street Church of God, 3000 N 34th Street, Rev. Dr. Thomas Scott, pastor with Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Catherine Louise Holloway Stout was born December 3, 1949 to the late Rufus and Cathidon Holloway in Prentiss, MS. Catherine was a homemaker whom loved to cook and clean. She loved her children and family and she loved to laugh and play cards. Catherine was a graduate of Middleton Senior High School, class of '67 and also attended Bethune Cookman University. During her mid 20's and 30's she worked as a government contractor. She was preceded in death by parents Rufus and Cathidon Holloway and niece, Cathy Bodison. She leaves to cherish her memories with children, James Long, Sr. and Earl Johnson II; grandchild, James Long, Jr.; brother, Louis Holloway, Sr. (Patricia); aunt, Virginia Lee Park; uncles, Joel Hall, Ledrew Butler and Prince Butler; nephews, Louis Holloway, Jr. and family, Eric Holloway and family and Patrick Holloway; cousins, Oscar Norwood and family, Clifford Trussell and family, James Bullock and family and Essie Dawson and family; family friend and caregiver, Annette Vickers; special friends, Maurice Green, John Blue, Walter Thompson, Roger Williams, Khalil Williams and a host of other special family and other friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday December 6th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
