Homegoing services for Mrs. Catherine D. McDaniels of Tampa who passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2015 will be held Friday, July 3rd, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd., Pastor Johnnie Miller of Friendly Missionary Baptist Church, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Catherine was born to William F. Daniel and Fannie Woodley Daniel on February 29, 1948 in Greenwood, Mississippi. She worked as a Dees Attendant for Hillsborough County Schools and enjoyed serving her family and her church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Frank and Fannie Daniel; aunt, Mary Walker (John). Catherine leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Rev. Willie McDaniels, Jr.; children, Michael J. Daniel (Lynette), Frederick L. Daniel (Sharon); Florita D. Daniel, Luetheal Young (Javan), Marcus Billington (Sarah); grandchildren, Michael Daniel Jr., Fredrick Walters, Daniel Smith (Oneisha), Shanqua Kendrick, Lance Cpl. Antonio Brooks (USMC), Sierra and Angel Billington, Michiah Daniel, Jamar Hillard, Khakheem and Wesley Jones, Marcus, Jr., Andre, Zorah and Ayana Billington and Leslie A. Brooks, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Jr., Deandre, Devontae and DeShayla Smith, Marteonna and Makayla Carr; brothers, Booker T. Woodley (Carrie) Pelham, AL., Erlwin Daniel of Blytheville, AR and Willie Daniel (Patricia) W. Memphis, AR.; sisters, Dorothy Hayes and Sharon Washington (Ron) TX; brothers-in-law, Harvert McDaniel, Albert McDaniel and Major Louise McDaniel (Eloise); sisters-in-law, Mattie McDaniel (Wade) and Georgia Mae Billington; nephews, Booker T. Woodley, Jr. and Marlon D. Hayes (Monica); nieces, Francina Hayes, Tameka and Amanda Billington; cousins, Katie Jordan (Jim), Jordan family, Charlene Dale and Walker family; other relatives and special friends, Irene Brinson, Rev. Nail and family, Baisden family, Hoston family, Grimage family, Mt. Olive M.B. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Thursday, July 2nd, from 4-7p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-7p.m. The friends and family are asked to meet at the chapel on Friday for the service.
