Homegoing Services for Mrs. Catherine L. Wester of Tampa who passed away Friday, February 6, 2016, will be held Saturday, February 13th, 11:00 a.m. at New Progress M.B. Church, 3307 E. Shadowlawn Avenu; Rev. Terrell Carter, eulogist and officiant. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Catherine was born March 30, 1962 in Sylvester, Georgia to the late Edward Lewis, Sr. and Pauline Daniels Lewis. She was a long time employee of J. Clifford McDonald's Training Center. She enjoyed caring for her family by cooking for them and socializing with them. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Mary Barthel and Edward Lewis, Jr., and niece, Nicole Lewis. She leaves to cherish her fond memories with a devoted husband, Reginald Wester; son, Ahmad Lewis; step-son; Reginald Wester, Jr.; grandson, Kijhae Webb; sister, Patricia Lewis; brothers, Albert Lewis (Stella) and Willie Lewis; aunts, Lucille Hamilton, Lawrenceville, GA, Ola Mae Daniels, Sylvester, GA and Annie L. Grimes, Jacksonville, FL; uncle, James Daniels, Sylvester, GA; nieces, Teresa Lewis-Williams (Paul), Tisha Askiew (Kelvis) and Natasha Best; nephews, Bernard Rogers (Shawanda), Reginald Mention, Anthony Lewis and Edward James Lewis II; special friends, Sonia Wright, Velma Sanchez and Phyllis James; and a host of other loving family and friends who will dearly miss her. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, February 12th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
