Obituary

Charlene Weldon Chambers was born on August 8, 1945, to the late Mary Elizabeth Murvin and
Clinton Murvin Sr. in Winter Haven, FL. She relocated to Bridgeport, CT and was married to
late Lynue Chambers Sr. She attended the University of Bridgeport CT, and received her
Masters Degree in Science, employed as a Substance Abuse Therapist at Suncoast Community
Center, in Bridgeport Ct., Adjunct professor at The University of Bridgeport. She was a Faithful
member of Triumphant Christian Ministry under Apostle, Cynthia D. Gee-West of Bridgeport,
CT. Her work has not gone unnoticed in the community, receiving accolades for her service as
Program Director of The Kings Pantry, in Bridgeport CT, serving over 250 men, women and
children. Charlene enjoyed cooking, and when not watching her cooking shows and recording her receipts,
she finds Pleasure in reading her favorite novels, she would always say "you can go so far when
you are reading a good book", encouraging her grands and reminding them about the benefits of
reading. Charlene is preceded in death by her father Clinton Murvin Sr. and mother Mary Elizabeth
Murvin, brothers, Charles, and Clavin; sisters: Cheryl, Susan and Clintine. Charlene survived by
her 3 children, Kenneth Murvin, (Jenise), Richard Murvin and Lynue Chambers (Junior);
monarch of her devoted siblings, Constance Stewart, Clinton Murvin, Hakeem Rasheed, Nancy
Murvin, Cornelius Murvin and her five grandchildren, great-grand, Nieces, Nephews, dear
friends and church family.
