Charles was born June 22, 1934, in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Charles Thomas, Sr., and Florence Thomas. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the National Epicureans. He served in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1958, where he met and married Erma Booker. They were together for 55 years. Charles was an avid golfer and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved to travel, and no one was ever a stranger to him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Erma Booker Thomas; parents; Florence and Charles Thomas; sisters, Marian Thomas, Anniebell Johnson; brothers, Robert Thomas and Lewis Thomas. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and dedicated daughter, Pamela Robinson; grandson, Gregory Robinson, Jr.; sister, Lillian Hooks (Alvin); and will be missed by a host of other family members and friends. He will be deeply missed. May God Bless and keep him forever and ever, Amen.
