Homegoing services for Ms. Charlie Mae Brown, "Charlene" of 1411 E. Mohawk Street, who passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011, will be held Saturday, May 14th, 2:30 p.m. at College Hill Church of God In Christ, 6414 N. 30th Street, Elder Charles Davis, pastor with Pastor Tony Woods, presiding and Elder A. L. Wingfield, eulogist. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Charlie Mae Brown was born June 19, 1961 in Ft. Myers, Florida. She was affectionately known as "Charlene". Charlie Mae was a Jehovah Witness and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Brown, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memories: children, Garica Mitchell, Stephanie Mitchell, both of Tampa, Joy Brown of Arcadia, FL, Leviticus, Taevon and Tyvon Brown, all of Tampa; grandchildren, Corey Anthony, Zorey Cotton, Miracle Mitchell, Kayteonah Coney and Mar'Syriah Davis; mother, Lela Mae Howard; father, Charlie Brown; brother, Johnnie Dixon; sisters, Verola Williams and husband, Lou, Stephanie Sanders (Calvin Murry), Tammy Nails and Gloria Bridges (Harold); aunt, Robbie Mack; nieces, Lynn Harley, Elvene Howard, Shonique and Monique Williams, Trikey and Antoinette Sanders and Toryanna Luke; nephews, Ashley Sanders, Jr., Akeem Sanders, Johnnie Young, Jr., Lorenzo Luke, Jr., Jim Brown and a host of other nephews; cousin, Mozell Underwood and a host of other cousins; special friend, Leo Robinson; friends, Debra Earsley, Sis. Tonja Cobb, Sis. Poncell and Carolyn Baker; and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, May 13th, from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church for the service at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday.
