Obituary

A homegoing celebration for Mr. Charlie Leo Ware, Jr. of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017, will be held on Saturday, April 22nd, 11:00 a.m. at Macedonia M.B. Church, 9750 Rockhill Rd., Thonotosassa, Florida, Rev. W.L. Jackson pastor with Pastor Johnny Miller, officiating. The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Charlie Leo Ware, Jr. was born Thursday, July 4, 1940 in Colquitt, Georgia to the late Charlie Ware, Sr., and Ada Riggins. Charlie enjoyed gardening, working out in the gym, fishing and watching sporting events on television. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He retired from Kash & Karry Supermarket (Sweet Bay) after 37 years of service. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Pearlie Mae Cooper; brothers, Earnest and Robert Charles Ware (R.C.) and brothers-in-law, Clifford Allen and James Perry. He leaves to forever cherish his memories his lifelong companion, Pearl Gooden; four children, Andy Ware (Tina), Dwayne Ware (Abby), Charlie Ware III (Monica), all of Tampa and Adosinda (Ada) Buchanan, Thonotosassa; four grandchildren, Charkil, Taaliyah, Jhyniah and Charlie IV (CJ); twelve, brothers, Zeddie Ware and Joe Riggins (Eldora), all of Ft. Lauderdale, Lonnie Green (Rudy) and Willie F. Ware, Albany, GA, Willie C. Ware (Beatrice) Columbia, SC, Charles Ware (Martha), Kathleen, GA, Ullycees Ware (Veronica) Gordon, GA, Lougene Ware, Henry Ware, Michael Ware (Sherry), Travis Ware, all of Albany, GA and Kenneth Ware (Juanda) Kennesaw, GA; six sisters, Lossie Mae Allen, Tampa, Charlie Mae Perry, Colquitt, GA, Fannie Benton (Nemiah), Tampa, Mattie Bell (Philmore) and Ethel Riggins, Colquitt, GA, Kawanda Hines (Darryl), Albany, GA; and a host nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends; a sincere thank you to nephew, Mack Allen for his loving care he provided to his uncle. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, April 21st from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
