A Private Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Charlotte Russ Manns of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020, will be held on Saturday, September 26th 11:00 a.m., at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. Charlotte wasborn April 2, 1949 to the union of Wilbert and Louise Russ in Tallahassee, Florida. The family later moved to Tampa, Florida, where she attended the public schools in Hillsborough County. She was a certified nurse assistant and caregiver for many years before retirement. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Wilbert Russ, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Cleshauna Manns-Hicks (Michael, Jr.); granddaughter, Kiija Burney; grandson, Broadus Hicks; 5 sisters, Patsy Hilliard, Las Vegas, NV, Sandra Russ Andrews (Donnie), DeFuniak Springs, FL, Delores Russ Parker and Cheryl Russ Danzey, both of Tampa and Sheila Russ Harris (Willie) of Hockessin, DE; 2 brothers, Lesley McCaskill, Hartford, CT and Edward Clemons, Flint, MI; 2 aunts, Joyce Dawson and Rosetta Dawson Young, both of Atlanta, GA; 1 uncle, Fred Dawson, Vernon, FL; 9 nieces, Tina Hilliard, Las Vegas, NV, Carolyn Clemons Aikins (Lesley), Flint, MI, LaTashia Shellman (fianc, Tony), DeFuniak Springs, FL, Tequila Sturks Green, Victorville, CA, Erica Pride, AneQua Ricks (fianc, Cortez), LaRhonda Parker, all of Tampa, Aquaia Adams (Eddie), Mahonoy City, PA, Satura Wright and Sierra Fareed, Tampa; 7nephews, Cornell Hilliard, Gerald Hilliard (Brenda), all of Daytona Beach, FL, Kino Shellman, DeFuniak Springs, FL, Kenneth Russ, Philadelphia, PA, Edward Clemons, Jr., Grand Rapids, MI, Lorenzo McCaskill, Hartford, CTand Jason Clemons (Drea), Austin, TX; devoted friends, Rosemary Hickmon, Linda Mitchell, Sheila Pressley, Zelma Culpepper and Loretta Hicks ; godchildren, Regina Gambrell (Artist, Jr.), Carla Morning (Darrell), Jeff Smith, Jr., all of Tampa; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends; special thank you to the Starks family, Sharon Thompson, Linda Reid, Monye Harris and Franchesca Brown. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, September 25th from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
