Homegoing services for Mr. Chaz Higdon of Tampa who passed away, Sunday, December 22, 2013, will be announced. Interment will be in Gardens of Memories Cemetery. Chaz was born July 27, 1983 in Rochester, New York and resided in Tampa, Florida. He was a member of St. John Progressive M.B. Church. He was a graduate of Lavoy Exceptional School. He loved music and his family. He always put a smile on everyone's face who met him. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Randy Higdon, Sr. He leaves loving and cherished memories with his devoted parents, Beverly Higdon and Purcell Brown; grandmother, Juanita Higdon; brother, Lester Higdon; sister, Latifah Brown; aunts, Trelinda Shorter, Yani Higdon and Kendra Higdon; uncles, Jimmy Higdon, Rodney Higdon, Randy Higdon, Keith Higdon and Lamar Shorter; great aunts, Dorothy Williams, Alamas Johnson, Betty McGhee, Nell Minor and Pearl Ershery; caretaker, Sandra Pringle; and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church
