Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd Tampa, FL, who passed away Monday March 14, 2011, will be held Thursday March 24, 2011 at 1p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home 2708 E. Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd Tampa, FL 33610, Pastor Ray Weathers, officiating. Chester was born June 17, 1958 in St. Louis MO., to Chester Arthur Brooks Jr. and Pauline Gwendolyn McCollum Brooks. He enjoyed family, friends and helping others. Chester attended the catholic school system in St Louis, MO; graduated from Christian Brothers College Military Institute (CBC); attended Fisk University and Miles College. He received his technical training at Brewer's State Community College in Fayette, AL. He was preceded in death by his mother and youngest brother Mark Anthony Brooks. He leaves to cherish his memories: his father Chester Arthur Brooks Jr; daughter, Kenyada Menyell Wallace; grandchildren, Adrian Nashea Clay, Kahlil Raheem Wallace and Ayden Chase Thompson; his eldest brother Michael Brooks, sister in law Frances Brooks; sister, Jasaundra Brooks; brother Gregory Ray Brooks; sister Reba Brooks-Freeman; brother-in-law Charles Freeman; sister Terri Ruth Brooks-Joseph and sister Maggie Joe Brooks; aunt Joyce Rucker; nephews, Michael Imun Brooks (Nicole Bellfield) Michael Ian Brooks, Jordan Brooks, Charles Grant Freeman, Kahleel Yvon Joseph and Christopher Garrett Freeman; nieces, Morlunda Ila Brooks-Lattimore, Lana Brooke Lattimore and husband, Jamal Lattimore, Marshelle Ilene Brooks, Cookie Brooks and Meaghan Raylynn Stephens; a host of cousins, family and friends; Varnessa Price and Julius Bradley. The viewing will be held on Thursday, March 24th, at Aikens Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. until the service time
