Chester was born on February 29, 1952, in Panama City, Florida, to Chester Byrd, Jr. and Eugenia Byrd.
Chester was a loving child of God, husband, son, brother, father, mentor, teacher, supervisor, member of the Cathedral of Grace St. John AME Church, and a member of Omega Psi Phi fraternity. His favorite activities were fishing, singing in the choir, golfing, being retired, sporting events, and family time. Chester lived a full life as a child of God with love and care for his family and others.
He will be tremendously missed and left the world a better place.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chester A. Byrd, Jr.; brother, Andre Byrd; and uncle, Mickey Dillard, Sr.
Chester leaves precious memories with his wife, Chezelis Byrd; children, Stacey Byrd, and Gregory Byrd; mother, Eugenia Byrd; brother, Carlton Byrd (Mary); aunt, Josephine Dillard; cousins, Alicia Dillard, Mickey Dillard, Jr., and Bobbie Jean George; the brothers of Omega Psi Phi fraternity; and the St. John Cathedral of Grace AME Church family.
