Christine was born in the vibrant city of Tampa, Florida, on December 25, 1955, Christine's life reflected the joy and hope that her birthdate signifies. She was a woman whose loving presence and thoughtful nature left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. Christine was a proud graduate of Hillsborough County High School, where she formed many lifelong friendships and established the foundation for her future endeavors. Her career as a cafeteria aide was more than just a job; it was an extension of her nurturing spirit. Christine's warm smile and kind words became a comforting presence for many over the years. Christine was the beloved matriarch of her family, a role she cherished with every fiber of her being.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Claretha Young and Solomon Groomes; sisters, Darlene Young, Bridgette Mackey, and Antionette Young-Wilson.
Her legacy continues through her adored children: Claricia Wilds, Simmona Maloy, Anita Jones (John Jones), Atlantis Davis, James Young (Rayquel Young), Christine Young, and Dantres Butler; her grandchildren; Tomeshia, Octavious, Shannon, Javonta, Jaquez, Thomas, Timothy, Demetrius, Antonio, Michael, Stevonna, Freddie, Dazjua, Defrederick ,Roquekeshia,Roland (Jr), Rolandus, Rolando, Claricia, Atlantis, James, Ezayvier, Breon, Miwan, Wilbur, Jalaya, Jermaine, Johnathan, Miranda, Miriah, Marasia, Marnecia, and Micah; along with her grandchildren, siblings, Debroah Abdullah, Autrie Young, Cynthia Butler, Ester Butler, Reginald Gipson, Alton Gipson, Yolanda Gipson, and Joyce Christopher, she leaves behind a host of great-grandchildren (33); nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, goddaughters, godsons, and the Central Park family. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit, her strength, and her unwavering love.
