Clara was born on November 13, 1943, in Warwick, Georgia, to Jasper and Verna Tyson. She enjoyed spending time with the family, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Roger Ray; sisters, Ola Span, Catherine Nelson, Shirley Ford, Corine Butler, Izella Griggs, Ruby Cotton, and Agnes Ford; brothers, Jasper Tyson, Jr., John Lee Tyson, Off Tyson, and Willie Tyson.


She leaves precious memories with her children, Brenda Merritt (Jerry), Louis Ray (Joyce), Jacqueline Shepard, Deborah Ray, Melissa Ray, Anthony Ray, and Gwen Westbrook; grandchildren, Jerry Merritt (Alexis), Jemeal, Jerry W, Raquel, Louis, Maurice, Lucius, Carlton Jr., Misty, Meloniece, Peshay, Teandra, Quanesha, Anthony Jr., Antarious, Lajada, Marcellus, Peshelley, Luther, Bobbie, Precious, and Vashuan; great-grandchildren, Nyla, Jemireka, Jemareya, Jemeal, Jr., Skyla, Shawn, Summer, Roshard, Desmond, Madison, Savannah, Jewel, Klariti, Brayden, Carlton III, Lavon, Loyal, Mary, Lisa, Louis Jr., Jamayalah, and Jamier; sister, Rosie Hamilton; parents, Jasper and Verna Tyson; and a host of loving cousins and other relatives.
