Clarence, affectionately called "Red" was born on June 12, 1958, in Enterprise, AL., to Clarence and Anne L. Caldwell. He enjoyed computers and jazz music. In 1976, he graduated from Jefferson High School. He served in the US Navy and was a network engineer with Tech Data, Bright House. He also worked for the US government as a contractor.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Caldwell; sister, Annette Caldwell; nephew, Tavares Caldwell; and grandmother-in-law, Spelita.

He leaves precious memories with his spouse, Catherine Coronel Caldwell; children, Chique Cooper of Diberville, MS, and Rikki Caldwell (Taran); grandchildren, Zhakary, Shamar, Deneico, El'Jriana, Jeremiah, Keilani, Joshuea, Eryelle, and Jayla'nese; mother, Annie L.
