A Graveside Service Mr. Clarence 'Popeye' Johnson III, of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 will be held on Saturday, February 20th, at 2:00 p.m., at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Ave, Tampa, Florida, Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. The interment will follow.

Clarence 'Popeye' Johnson was born on January 30, 1954, to the late Clarence Johnson II and Vera Aldridge in Tampa, Florida. Clarence was such a loving person with a giving heart. He loved listening to his music. He's known to love kids and giving out money at the block parties. He also loved to fish, and they called him the 'Mullet Man'. He hung out on 29th and Lake selling his freshly caught fish and at other locations. He worked at Coca-Cola for 38 years until retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Nathaniel Johnson. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his children, Latashia Hayes and Clarence Cooley; grandchildren, Andreneshia Bailey, Mykeria Williams, and Cazorieonta Cooley; great-grandchild, Khelan Wilson; sisters, Elizabeth Williams, Christine Johnson, Pauline Hemmingway, and Brenda Johnson; brothers, Leroy Johnson, Jimmy Lee Johnson, and Bobby Lee Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, February 19th, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the graveside on Saturday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.
