Clemell "Pete" Caldwell, known fondly as "Pete" to friends and family, departed this life on July 11, 2024, after a fulfilling journey of 66 years. He was born on December 20, 1957, in Chicago, IL to Nathan and Pennie Caldwell.
He grew up to be a man of many talents and immense warmth. His early education at William W. Carter School laid the foundation for his admirable work ethic, which blossomed as he moved on to study at Betsy Ross and Englewood High School. He enjoyed working for the senior citizens, making repairs as a handyman, construction, and painting for the elderly. He also enjoyed working on automobiles, playing sports, and playing card games like Spades and Bid Whist. He also loved listening to music from the 70's and 80's.
He is preceded in death by: mother, Pennie Caldwell; father, Nathan Caldwell.
He leaves to cherish his memories: sister, Sandra Peterson; aunts, Brendolyn Faye David (George) of San Jose, CA, and Mattie Franklin of Chicago, IL; uncle, Robert Ruth of Chicago, IL; nephew, Brian Peterson; niece, Shlise Peterson; great-nephew, Elias Ratcliff; great-nieces, Tyreonna, Jahonna, Elionna, and Breonna; cousins, Berlee Ruth, James Ruth (Maude), Bobby Ruth (Beverly), Carol Armstrong, Sharon Funches (Mordecai), Doris Ruth, Cheryl Ruth, Marylee Button, and Herman Russell, along with a host of other family members and friends.
