Clifford''Quack'
Brown
December 9, 1930 – January 28, 2024
Clifford was honorably discharged as a veteran of the United States Army. His story is history. There could only be one man like him. Not perfect but persistent in everything, as a husband, father (in all phases, grand, great, and greater) uncle, brother-in-law, and friend. Clifford "Quack" Brown was born December 9, 1930, to Ms. Hattie Mae Davis as an only child. He died as a legend, not just to the world as a professional negro league baseball player, but as a legend to his family and community. He attended schools in Hillsborough County and showed great love and affection for his tenure at Booker T. Washington. Clifford "Quack" Brown was a true provider. He gave everything he had for his family, no matter how great or small. What mattered to him most was seeing the bright smiles on his loved ones faces and knowing that they were good. His love and adoration for his family was exemplary and it transcended to everyone that he knew. He will always and forever be the G.O.A.T to his family. He played for the National Negro League, Philadelphia Stars as a shortstop and 2nd baseman. He was an awesome coach at Belmont Heights Little League Baseball for 11 years. He leaves a legacy to be marveled at.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bettye Batchelor Brown; daughter, Linda Batchelor Aldrich; great-grandson, Romauni Borders; niece, Katrina Washington and nephew, Keith Batchelor.
He leaves to cherish his memories: daughters, Gail Green and Veronica Borders (Charles); son, Clifford Brown, Jr. (Dionne) and son-in-law, Samuel Aldrich, Sr.; grandchildren, Darron Aldrich (Tamela), Sukandra Cooper (David), Samuel Aldrich, Jr., Damian Green (Angel), Charles Borders, Jr., (Tiffani), Jerrell Borders (Almeka), Shamera Jennot (Kevin), Sydney and Addison Brown; great-grandchildren, Kiandra Bovell (Keron), Courtney Cooper, Latifah, Nikki, Darron, Jr., Tashay, Marquez and Malik Aldrich, Caria Polite, Makayla, Nejiey, Jerrell, Jr., Amaria and Alyseah Borders, Jaylen Rodriguez, Shamari Jennot, Dakarius Wilson, Marques and Messiah Green; a host of great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Willie Riggins; sisters-in-law, Barbara Johnson and Shigeko Batchelor; friends, Neil and Carol Armstrong, Terry Griffin, Julius Howard; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved with all his heart.
