Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Clymogline Fox-Washington who passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013 wil be held Saturday, April 13th, 11a.m. at New Mt. Zion M.B. Chuch, with Rev. Larry Roundrtree officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery.Mrs. Clymogline Fox-Washington was born in Koenton, Alabama on July 2, 1935 to the late John Dowell Fox and Claudia Fox-Donaldson. She was educated in the schools of Koenton, Alabama where she ran track and played basketball. She married Booker T. Washington, Sr. in 1958. They were stationed at MacDill Air Force Base and eventually made Tampa, Florida their home. She united with the New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Tampa, Florida, Inc., and served faithfully until the Lord called her home. Mrs. Washington was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, caregiver, friend but most of all a servant of God. She loved to give and care for others. Her passion was a card ministry where she sent cards for birthdays, anniversaries and "just thinking of you" to all of her family, friends and church members. She also loved to bake cakes and pies, sharing those as well. Her well known hobby was photography, she loved to take pictures and then distribute them freely to everyone she photographed. She was preceded in death by her parents and six of her seven siblings. She leaves to mourn with precious memories: her husband, Deacon Booker T. Washington, Sr.; five children, Booker T. Washington, Jr. (Chathay), Marilyn Washington, Gloria Walden (Johnny), CaSandra Washington, and Rodrick Washington, twelve grandchildren, Terriance Washington, Chris Graves (Mikisha), Kidrick Walden (Omeka), Decca Howard, Demetric Kennedy (Nicolette), Andre Howard (Tawana), Booker T. Washington III, Devin Kennedy, Kim Walden, Tiffany Washington, Amber Washington, Marcus Washington, Janae Washington; seven great grandchildren, Jocelyn Graves, Dominic Kennedy, Kideja Walden, Jacobi Kennedy, Janiya Kennedy, Kianna Walden and Kennedy Barnes; goddaughter, Annette Howard-Lewis; godson Aaron Berry; sister Vivian Darling (Randy); aunt, Olivet Bouie; a devoted niece, Rosalee Fox; extended sons Vincent Samuel and Too Smooth; so many devoted friends, too numerous to list and a host of nieces, nephews and her church family.The visitation will be held Friday, April 12th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
