A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Cora L. Turner of Tampa, Florida who passed away peacefully on Monday, February 27, 2017 will be held Saturday, March 4th, 11:00 a.m. at St. John Cathedral, 3401 E. 25th Ave., Pastor Dwight Newkirk, eulogist with Pastor Tony Parker, presiding. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Cora L. Turner was born May 11, 1939 in Kissimmee, Florida to the late Willie Bell and Annie Ruth Lattimore. Cora was a business owner of a child care center. She enjoyed the experience of traveling to many places. She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Charlie Turner; father, Willie Bell (Nevada); mother, Annie Ruth Lattimore; siblings, Catherine Guinyard, Collin Lattimore, Margaret Anne Woodard, Idella Lattimore Gallmon and 3 other siblings, that passed at early ages. Cora leaves to cherish her precious memories with her children, Michael Turner, Ronald Turner, Michelle Gilbert (Derek), Chaunye Jones (Lamar), Corey R. Bennett, Jr., Corey R. Bennett, Sr. and Mashalan Haywood; step-son, Ricky Turner; 12 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Thadeous Lattimore of Kissimmee, FL., Tommy Bell (Debra) of Tampa, FL and Theodore Lattimore (Erma) of Pensacola, FL; nieces and nephews, James Harrell (Maria), Evalio Harrell, Nevada Peacock, Curtis Woodard (Chet), Antonio, William and Donnie Lattimore, Jamar Gallmon, Florence Wilkerson (Lamar), Emmanuel Grant, Ashley and Christopher Bell, Tomenuel Banks (Tonya), Onika and Terrance Lattimore; and a host of other cousins, relatives, family and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, March 3rd from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
