Homegoing service for Mrs. Cora Lee Branton McNeal of Tampa, who passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2015, will be held on Saturday, February 14th, 2:30 p.m. at Souls Harbor Church of God, 5308 E. Columbus Drive, with Rev. Wayne Coleman, pastor, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Cora was born February 15, 1931. She was of the Baptist faith. She owned her restaurant and enjoyed cooking, singing, dancing and comedy. Cora performed at a variety of events where she would sing folks right out of their seats, her favorite singer was Mahalia Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie McNeal; parents, Cora and John Branton; children, Robert, Lizzie and Vivian; 8 brothers and 2 sisters and grandson, Christopher Thomas. She leaves to cherish her memories with her children, Cora Butler, Eleanor Turner, Charlie Thomas and Carol, Eartha Thomas, Charles and Linda Thomas, Laura and Leon Willis and Carmen Thomas and Martel Nealey; grandchildren, Marquis Thomas, Tanesha Maxwell, Shantiara Maxwell, Martel Nealey, Charles Thomas, Chris Thomas, Twanna Thomas, Passion Thomas, Charlie Thomas III, Steven Freeman, Antonio Davis, Tiffanie Thomas, Shannon Thomas, Deron Thomas, Barbara Butler O'Neal and Michael, Cashara Butler, Kayla Butler Bell and Joe, Twila Turner, Harlem Turner II Jr, Harlem III, Christy Turner, Kiwana Turner, Sandra Green, Nicole Inman, Shaterica Marks and Markeishia Coleman; great grandson, Markell Thomas (Pooh); 49 great grandchildren great-great granddaughter, Ke'yonni Lewis (jellybean); a host of great-great grandchildren; niece, Catherine Gordon; nephew, Claude Branton; sister-in-law, Edwina Branton; a host of other nieces and nephews, other relatives and special friends; The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
