Cory Demetris McCullough was born on October 15, 1979, and departed this life to be with the Lord on May 5, 2026. Cory’s journey with Christ began at a young age. He was baptized and faithfully served on the usher board for many years. Even in the midst of turmoil, he knew that God was his firm foundation and the rock on which he stood. Cory began his education in Tampa and graduated from King High School in 1998. Upon graduating, he received a football scholarship to attend Missouri Valley College, where he studied Business Administration. Cory was known for his many talents and skills. He had a passion for football, crafts, lawn care, home repair, and auto detailing. He was a self-made entrepreneur who dedicated many years to building his detailing business, HIS Auto Detailer, where he diligently held contracts with Avant Healthcare, Alto Construction, and The Salvation Army. His strong work ethic, determination, and willingness to help others made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Cory was also a musical genius known by the name “Hucaboom.” Through his music, words, and spirit, he touched the lives of many. He also served as a spiritual speaker at The Salvation Army, where he faithfully spread the Gospel and inspired others with his testimony, encouragement, and love for God. 

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, father, and several aunts and uncles. He leaves behind cherished memories with his loving children, Jakoria McCullough, Iyana McCullough, and Eric McCullough; his unborn grandchild; his devoted mother, Sheila Richardson Nixon; siblings, Willie Bell, Oral McCullough, and Ellissa Richardson. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and sorrowing friends who will forever cherish his love, laughter, wisdom, music, and unforgettable spirit.
