Homegoing services for Mr. Craig Thompson Jr. of Tampa, who passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2011, will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011, 11:00 am., St. James AME Church, 5202 S. 86th street, (Progress Village) with Rev. James R. Murphy, Pastor officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Craig was born on March 5, 1989 in Tampa, Florida. Craig attended the schools of Hillsborough County, graduating from H. W. Blake High School. Craig was the owner of Specialty Hats. Craig was also beginning his training with Bright House Network. He was Courageous, Respectful, Admirable, Intelligent, Gentle and was the growing into a man. He was silly, fun and always the life of a gathering. He loved to dance, play football and basketball. He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories: parents, Nitaka Walker and Craig Thompson Sr.; brothers, Greg Tripp and Quentin Thompson (Amanda); sister; Ashley Thompson; grandparents, Darrell (Mickey) Vinson and Gwendolyn Lindo, Bernest Walker (Frances), Willie Norman and Larkland Stone; great-grandmother, Estella Vinson; aunts, Tina Holmes (Timmy), Melody Walker, Cassandra Borders and Dallisa Lindo; great-aunts, Doris Saddler, Willie Mae Williams, Kimberly Henderson, Gloria J. Trembles and Edwena Rawls; uncles, Marcus Walker (Kelly), Brian Walker, Maurice Campbell, Michael Lindo and Kent Henderson; great-uncles, William Vinson Jr., Edward Vinson, Jimmy Walker and Willie"Billy"Walker (Bessie); 2 nieces, 1; nephew; girlfriend, Aurnita L. Hall; (mother of his unborn child); godparents, Teryl and Rosalinde Aikens; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends; special thanks: Florida Crimes of Violent Crimes (Angelo Santisteban), Rods Airbrush Inc. and LaTasha Mann. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet the church on Saturday for the service.
