Daniel L.
McNab
Dec 23, 1934 — Aug 31, 2026
Hudson, FL
Daniel L. McNab was born in Kingston, Jamaica, on December 23, 1934. He was a man of relentless ambition and steady faith, someone who never stopped learning and never tired of sharing his love of God with others. Daniel embodied a spirit of generosity and warmth that endeared him to all who knew him. Daniel built a career that spanned continents and professions. Educated in Jamaica, he attended West Indies College. Beginning as a teacher, he transitioned to work in the bauxite industry. He then relocated to England, where he worked for General Electric. During his time at GE, he decided to explore a career in nursing. After completing his nursing education, Daniel worked in mental health nursing. But he wasn’t finished reinventing himself. After crossing “the pond,” he worked in emergency nursing in Canada before relocating to New York. There, he worked in the ER and ICU while completing his training as a CRNA. Upon moving to Florida, he returned to emergency nursing before transitioning to hospice care, where he spent his final professional years before retirement.
Throughout his life, Daniel had a relationship with the Lord. He would recount how his mother prayed over him when he was roasting from malaria fever and how, on Sabbath mornings, he would sit at her feet while she played the organ in church. He spent time studying his Bible and sharing the Good News with others. If you had a minute, he had a sermon! His continued deep commitment to spiritual learning and growth led him to earn his Doctor of Theology degree from Andersonville Theological Seminary. He demonstrated his love of the Lord through service to others by preaching during mission trips in the US and abroad, volunteering during disasters, and supporting community organizations. During his life, Daniel also managed to raise a family, author three books, open and operate an assisted living facility, and be a confidant, mentor, and friend to those around him. He lived a life of service to God and his fellowman. An ordinary man who lived an extraordinary life, Daniel will be greatly missed!
