Homegoing celebration for Ms. Daphne Edwards a.k.a. Elaine Thomas who passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015 will be held, Thursday, June 18th, 10:30 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. The interment will be in Garden of Memories. Ms. Daphne Edwards was born January 6, 1930 in Guyana. She enjoyed watching sports, especially football and basketball. She also enjoyed taking care of her children and family. She leaves to cherish her memories with her children, Norma, Keith, Clive, Andrew, Sharon, Ron and Seon Thomas and Trevor Jarvis; grandchildren, Kevin, Linda, LaKeisha, Elijah and Keiona Thomas, Travis Jarvis and Travell Campbell; great grandchildren, Kamyla Thomas and Cameron and Elijah Dada; sister, Agnes Wilson; nieces, Donna, Debbie, Dawn and Lavern; nephew, James; special friends, Paulette Battavla, Sheila Lea and Delelah Ramirez and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 17th from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Thursday for the service.
