Darrell "D.J". as he is affectionately known by family and friends, was born on October 18, 1981, to Darrell B. Richardson, Sr., and Valarie "Michelle" Kinsey-Wright. He attended the schools of Hillsborough County, graduating from Hillsborough High School. He is affectionately known for his smile, kind heart, helping others, and would give you his last. He was an avid Bucs fan. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his baby daughter, Jaleah Richardson; mother, Valarie "Michelle" Kinsey-Wright; grandfathers, James Richardson, and William Gainey; grandmother, Mattie Richardson; great-grandmother, Louise Reed.

Darrell leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Chonoesty Correa of 21 years of matrimony; children whom he dearly loved, Darrell Richardson III, Jordan Richardson, Jamael Richardson, Jayvon Richardson, and Jior Richardson; father, Darrell Richardson, Sr.; mother, Cassandra Richardson; grandmothers, Gloria Alexander, Thelma Gainey, Linda Turner, and Ola Correa; brothers, James Boo" Johnson, Sylister "Scooty" Williams, Kevin Richardson, Kelwin Gainey, Clinton Bowers, Richard Bowers, and Williams Bowers; mother-in-law, Tracy McClain (Laird Greaux, Jr.); fathers-in-law, John Correa, and James Streets; brothers-in-law, Jerrell Streets (Kelee) and Jacob Thomas (Keyona); sisters-in-law, Saquanda Walker (Garrett), Monique Streets and Mary Jane; special friends, Clifford, Steve, Baby, Slim, Sodonnie, Melissa, Ivory, Yolanda, Mario, and a host of uncles, aunts, and other family members and friends.
