Darrell was born on November 13, 1965, in Tampa, Florida to parents Charlie Lawson Sr., and Mary Lawson. He often enjoyed lifes quieter moments by the water fishing. He had a true nurturing touch and a passion for landscaping. In his free time, he would tune into his favorite TV show, WWE, and cheer on his beloved football team the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The memories of him will forever live in the hearts of many.

Darrell was preceded in death by his loving parents: Charlie Lawson, Sr., and Mary Lawson; brothers, Charlie Jr., and Clarence Lawson and sister, Pam Beckworth.

He leaves cherished memories to his beloved wife; Valarie Miller-Lawson; children, Antonio, Alonzo, Sr,., Darrell, Jr., Ashley (John), Latoya (Jessie), Dominique (Darrell), Nicole, and Donisha; grandchildren: Alonzo, Jr., Alonzo III, Asaiah, Reginald Jr., Jada, Rinya, Qwenmari, Ja'Ziah , Jerrian, Trayvon, James, Tyleah, Deldrick, Zayonna, Rico, Gogotso, Jaymari, Terron, Antonia, Jordao; great-grandchildren: Sai'er , Le'lani; brothers, Micheal, Clarence (Mary); sisters: Darlene, Yvonne, Cheryl(Curt), Linda, Malissa, Cynthia, Otella (Reginald), Ruby, Angelan (Junior), Michelle (James), Ruby; nieces, Angela, Rick, Charlene, Charonne, Samantha, Porsha, Aiesha, Tinny, Dominique, Monique, Kendra, Kimberly, Milana, Kionna; nephews, Limiuel, Sam, Dwayne, Tania, Davarius, Shaylee, Eric, Tavarus, Cedric, Fredrick, Ezzard, Tony Jr., Jermain, Eric, Kevin, Edward; a host of very special friends, Tony Picket, Rachel and Peter Murray, Mr. Butler, and the University of South Florida Longhorn Steakhouse Family.
