Darryl was born in Tampa, Florida, on September 14, 1960, to Alfred and Doris Williams. He received his education through Hillsborough County Schools, graduating from King High School. After high school, Darryl entered the United States Army, serving honorably from 1978 to 1988. After his military service, Darryl worked as a truck driver for Al's Trucking and later with DiMare Fresh before retiring. He was known for his dedication to his work and the friendships he built along the way.

Darryl was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Williams, Sr., mother, Doris Williams, and brother, Gregory Williams.

He leaves behind a loving family: two brothers, Alfred Williams, Jr. (Tyiese) and Reggie Williams (Regina); children, Schiranny Kiehl Williams, Dante' Williams, Dionne Williams, Nicole Shepard, whom he cared for and held a special place in his heart, and Elizabeth Marie Young; grandchildren, Legend Williams, Onyx Williams, and Amari Floyd; and a devoted companion, Patricia Parks. His memory will also be cherished by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends. Family, friends, and all who knew Darryl are invited to join in remembering his life and offering their support to his loved ones.
